Brad Houston is an attorney with a unique background of legal experience helping injured people, with a special emphasis on injuries from motor vehicle/bicycle collisions. Mr. Houston started his legal career with the California mega-firm of Gray, Cary, Ames & Frye (now DLA Piper) doing direct representation of large corporations, including representation involving personal injury defense.
When he returned to his home state of Texas, Mr. Houston served the people of the State of Texas as an Assistant District Attorney and served Travis County as an Assistant County Attorney. Working in the public sector, Mr. Houston developed a passion for fighting for individuals who were injured from crimes and other wrongs.
For the last seventeen years, Mr. Houston has experienced great success and enormous satisfaction representing individuals with
claims against insurance companies, trucking companies and state, federal, and local government agencies in a variety of cases, including bicycle injuries and wrongful death. Mr. Houston represents his clients in most cases on a contingent-fee basis and gives free initial consultations.
In addition to other volunteer work and commitments to various charitable organizations, Mr. Houston’s office proudly sponsors the University of Texas Cycling Team, ATC Racing women’s team, 787 Racing, Austin Nationals, Violet Crown, Austin Flyers, Wooley Mammoth, and the Driveway Criterium Series. Mr. Houston is also
the founder of Gruppo VOP, an informal training group composed of team members from area racing teams and many non-competitive bicyclists.
Mr. Houston also founded VOP Foundation, a non-profit foundation that benefits underprivileged people and groups in the Austin Community. In addition, because of his financial support, Mr. Houston was nominated to be a Life Fellow of both the Austin Bar Foundation and the Texas Bar Foundation.
